Devoted supporters of the actress are urging that a man who jumped a barrier and touched the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be detained or deported from Singapore.

A viral footage shows the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and charging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being taken in", though official papers showed that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Record of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram profile features videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney performance in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last winter.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is clearly a punishable act," stated an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user questioned.

Fans Express Concern Over the Star's Safety

Several supporters accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote another comment on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while some requested digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande appeared shocked when she was touched by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Hundreds of supporters had gathered in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had queued for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be premiered on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-part interpretation of the popular theatrical production Wicked, which centers on the unexpected bond between two very different characters.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful film of last year in the UK, and scored a dozen Academy Award nods, winning two for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
